Hello there! I've really been slacking on blogging but I'm still around. I wanted to share two hats that I sent out about a month ago for boy/girl preemie twins!! So cute! These babies, like all the babies, have been in my thoughts.

I was on Facebook today and one of my friends had posted an article about the American Heart Association starting a project to donate red hats for the newborns/preemies born at Edward and Elmhurst Hospitals to spread awareness of heart disease.  Well SSK must participate!!  Time to buy some red yarn!! Can't wait to get started.  Here is the article if anyone else is interested:

The project is called “Little Hats, Big Hearts.” The AHA, and Edward and Elmhurst Hospitals are inviting knitters and crocheters to participate by donating finished baby hats (in newborn and preemie sizes) or yarn.
The completed hats and donated yarn must be red, cotton or acrylic, medium to heavy weight, and machine washable and dryable. Hats should not be made with buttons or bows because they pose a danger to babies.
Hats and yarn should be dropped off at Edward Hospital, north or south lobby information desk, 801 S. Washington St., Naperville, and Elmhurst Hospital, main entrance guest services desk, 155 E. Brush Hill Road, Elmhurst.
The deadline is Jan. 15. For more information, visit www.heart.org/littlehatsbighearts.
